A curse. Makes everything bright and superpowered; takes the world and converts it to metal and plastic junk. The last thing we need is another power line or outlet, and I hate myself for how I slurp upon electrons endlessly, all the while cursing myself for participation in that which shall be our undoing. Mass aggregates of little bits of matter are what line your wallets, what coax you up in the morning, what keep your food hot and cold, what drive you to work and what you are working for. Electricity is sex and death stripped of all that natural - pure selfish, evil power which is good only to provide motive force, to "progress". Electricity breathes life into this lament, and to understand the hypocrisy inherent in this sentence, is to know why I long for the universal off switch.
